WOMEN’S BUILD EVENT – APRIL 2024
Client – Heart and Soul of Atlanta
My role – UX Designer

I created the style guide based on their logo colors, removed the background from their logo, and created various sizes so my team could quickly set global styles and copy images from the media library during the build.

The client requested a map visual for their home page. I created different variations in Figma. The bottom left image was the clear winner.

GLOBAL EVENT – OCTOBER 2023
Client – LA Metro Churches
My role – Content Manager
Home Page – bEFORE

48 in 48 coordinates non-profit website builds 3 times a year. We refreshed a philanthropic educational co-operative based on their guidelines, and to help the viewer know where to look.
Home Page – AFTER

We were asked to stay with their original branding, so we focused on simplifying the functions while communicating their message visually, ensuring Donate and Get Involved were on every page.
Articles – bEFORE

As content manager for this project, I focused on consolidating the number of pages and providing a more direct navigation to the volunteer and donate pages.
Articles – AFTER

Articles and resources were placed into one page called Insights. The information on this page was clearly grouped into categories, with links to external articles that opened in a new tab.
Google Analytic Scores – AFTER

We achieved a perfect score for accessibility, and very high marks for performance and best practices. We were also pleased with our SEO score because we achieved an 82% even though we were missing a lot of information and had to use filler text.
Encouraging Volunteers – AFTER

Our pre-production team of 5 dwindled to 3 by kickoff. With an outstanding project manager, Word Press developer with code mojo, and myself acting as content manager/production ux designer, we collaborated and took initiative. We submitted our build to the quality assurance team before the deadline, and even had a short nap. : )
